The design brief for this commissioned project was simple: event, venue, time, honorees' list and entourage, and a thank-you note to send after the event.

Collaborating with the client, we decided to employ a Japanese theme for the invitations. I chose a classic Japanese pattern for the background, accented by Hokusai sketches that suggested growth and fertility. Laid paper was used for many of the pieces, with thicker stock for the back of the pochette envelope.
